Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 18, 2026. This policy describes what Pour Advice collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain-English summaries are followed by the specifics. Questions: hello@pouradvice.com.

Who we are

Pour Advice is a Nashville, TN–based beverage brokerage and trade-software platform operated by Pour Advice LLC (“Pour Advice,” “we,” “us”). The services covered by this policy include the marketing site (pouradvice.com), the public tasting trainer at /taste, the buyer dashboard, and the broker/supplier/distributor CRM.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google via the “Continue with Google” button, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier with us. We store these to identify you across sessions. We do not receive your Google password.

Role information. After signing in, you choose whether you are using Pour Advice as a Learner, Buyer, or Broker. Buyers additionally provide a company name, contact name, optional job title, premise type, and optional phone number.

Buyer license uploads. Buyers may upload a liquor license document (image or PDF) to verify their account. Uploads are stored in a private storage bucket accessible only to Pour Advice administrators and the uploading buyer.

Tasting activity. When you play the tasting trainer while signed in, we store each completed round — the wine attributes, your guesses, whether each guess was correct, your score, and the timestamp — so you can track your progress over time. If you play the tasting trainer without signing in, attempts are buffered only in your browser’s localStorage and are imported to your account if and when you sign in.

CRM business data. If your team uses the Pour Advice CRM, that team’s users create account records, tasting recaps, calendar events, and related sales-workflow data. This data is tenant-scoped: only members of the same team can read or write it.

Session cookies. We use first-party cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in. These cookies are httpOnly and scoped to the Pour Advice domain.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records request metadata — IP address, user agent, request path, response status, and timestamp — for operational, security, and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not join these logs to your account profile for marketing purposes.

What we do not collect

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, marketing pixels, cross-site analytics, or behavioral fingerprinting on the public marketing site or the tasting trainer. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How we use information

We use the information above only to operate, secure, and improve the services: authenticating your session, displaying your tasting history, routing buyer accounts through license review, surfacing your team’s CRM records to the right team members, and diagnosing service problems. Aggregated, de-identified tasting statistics may be used internally to improve the training experience.

Service providers we rely on

Google — OAuth sign-in. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Subject to Supabase’s Privacy Policy.

Vercel — hosting and request routing. Subject to Vercel’s Privacy Policy.

Anthropic — used inside the CRM to generate sales-summary drafts from broker-provided recap text. Subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy. The public tasting trainer at /taste does not send data to Anthropic.

Resend — transactional email delivery for CRM order alerts. Subject to Resend’s Privacy Policy.

Google Calendar — optional. CRM users who connect their Google Calendar grant Pour Advice the ability to create calendar events on their behalf when scheduling tastings. Calendar tokens are encrypted at rest and used only for that purpose. You can revoke access at any time from your account settings or from your Google account’s third-party permissions page.

Your choices

You can delete your account and the data associated with it at any time by emailing hello@pouradvice.com from the address tied to your account. You can revoke Google sign-in or Google Calendar access from your Google account at any time. You can clear local tasting attempts from any browser by clearing that browser’s site data for pouradvice.com.

Children

Pour Advice is intended for individuals of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (21+ in the United States). The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit (TLS) and at rest (encrypted database storage, private storage buckets, scoped row-level security). No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the services after a revision constitutes acceptance.
